Mounting a Home Theater Projector

There are several ways in mounting your home theater projector. It can either be wall-mounted, floor-mounted or ceiling-mounted. But the most sensible way of mounting a projector is on the ceiling in order to have a maximum safety by keeping it out of the way. A ceiling-mounted projector is also the best option from preventing it to eat up the space of the room. Mounting a home theater projector is not an easy job. It will need patience and proper planning if it is to be mounted correctly and safely.

The first thing that you are going to do is to choose a mount that works perfectly well with your projector. Measure accurately the distance on which you are going to place your projector on the ceiling so that when it is mounted, the projector will be properly aligned with the screen and you will not have problems with the images that will be projected.

Then, attach your projector on the ceiling mount through the use of bolts attached to the threaded mounting holes on the projector. In addition, you can make use of clamps and chains for additional stability. The next thing to do is to attach all the electrical cord and video cables to their appropriate position on the projector. Mount the ceiling mount to the ceiling using the parts provided. Choose the area that is strong enough to hold the projector in its proper place.

To make sure that you have mounted your home theater correctly, turn on the projector and check if there is power and signal on the video. Then make the necessary adjustments by looking at the images being projected on the screen.
